German family-owned machine-building company, headquartered in Essen (Oldenburg), Lower Saxony. Vogelsang was founded in 1929 by the cooper Hugo Vogelsang as a sawmill with 10 employees in Bunnen and moved its headquarters to Essen (Oldenburg) in 1965. In 1970 the company invented the elastomer-coated rotary lobe pump, which started its transition from woodworking to metalworking, and in 1996 it introduced twisted HiFlo rotary lobes. The range covers rotary lobe pumps (VX, VY, EP, FX, IQ, R and LoadMaster), progressive cavity pumps (CC, HiCone and ProCap T) and grinders and macerators (RotaCut, XRipper and RedUnit), alongside liquid manure spreading equipment, biogas technology and sanitation systems for rail, bus and boat. Vogelsang employs more than 1,300 people worldwide, has subsidiaries in over 25 countries and produces in Germany and Spain. The company is ISO 9001 certified.

Rotary lobe pumps with elastomer-coated rotors (a Vogelsang invention from 1970) and twisted HiFlo lobes for low-pulsation pumping cover the VX, VY, EP, FX, IQ and R families and the LoadMaster; progressive cavity pumps (CC, HiCone, ProCap T) handle viscous and solids-laden media; RotaCut, XRipper and RedUnit grinders and macerators protect downstream equipment in wastewater, biogas and industrial plants.
