German family-owned manufacturer of pumps and agitators, headquartered in Sigmaringen (Laiz), with a company history of more than 130 years. History: in 1887 the 23-year-old wheelwright Franz Eisele founded the Franz Eisele und Söhne pump factory and iron foundry in Laiz. From 1903 the company integrated electric motors into its products, which earned a German imperial patent, and in 1921 it added a grey cast iron foundry; by 1927 it had about 60 employees. After the founder's death in 1927 his sons Josef and Carl and brother-in-law Adolf Zeller took over, and production resumed after the war in 1947 with the first mobile centrifugal pump. Drum trolleys followed in 1970, and in 1972 vertical pumps with electric or PTO drive and the first mobile submersible motor pump with forced cooling. Bernd Eisele took over the management in 1980 and was joined by his brother Michael in 1985; submersible motor agitators and the first Eisele rotary lobe pump were developed in the early 1980s, and the DK rotary lobe pump series has been built since 1983. A new production hall and test centre opened in 2016, fifth-generation family member Dominik Eisele joined in 2017, an energy-efficient paint facility started operation in 2018, and in 2021 the brand was relaunched with a new logo and the slogan "Knowledge in motion". Today the range covers rotary lobe pumps, submersible motor, vertical and close-coupled pumps, drum filling stations and a wide range of agitators for agriculture, biogas plants and general industry. Eisele employs more than 100 people in Sigmaringen.
