German manufacturer of slurry, water and chemical pumps, headquartered in Bochum in the Ruhr area, with nearly 100 years of experience in pumping abrasive, solids-laden media. History: in 1927 Arthur Habermann founded an engineering office for pumps and equipment in Bochum and developed the first armoured solid fuel pump. In 1959 the company introduced the elastically lined pump with replaceable wear parts, and from 1967 it manufactured polyurethane wear parts in-house. International expansion through partner cooperation followed from 1994 (EU, CIS, USA, Canada and South America), and valves joined the portfolio in 2012. In 2015 Aurum GmbH took over the slurry pump business of Arthur Habermann GmbH after its insolvency and formed Habermann Aurum Pumpen GmbH. The company obtained DIN ISO 9001:2015 and SCC certification in 2020, was awarded an EcoVadis silver medal in 2022 and expanded its machining equipment in 2023. The range covers wear-resistant slurry pumps (HPK with CeramCarbide coating, RPL, NPK, NPW, KB dredging pumps, vertical sump pumps and the Heracles and Challenger submersible slurry pumps), water pumps (self-priming, turbine, borehole, in-line, multi-stage, end-suction and split-case), the HPN chemical standard pump and submersible wastewater pumps. More than 30,000 pumps have been installed worldwide, with an average service life of 45 years, for mining, energy, metallurgy, chemical, tunnelling and civil engineering customers on six continents. The Habermann Aurum group employs more than 200 specialists.

The slurry pump range is built around wear-resistant hydraulics: HPK with a CeramCarbide (80% silicon carbide) coating for fine abrasive media from pH 0 to 14, RPL armoured pumps for medium duty, NPK in HBN wear-resistant castings for heavy duty (solids up to 100 mm), NPW in cast steel, KB for dredging, vertical V and N sump pumps for tanks, and the Heracles and Challenger (CRM / CRP) submersible slurry pumps with immersion depths up to 30 m. Water pumps cover borehole, turbine, multi-stage, in-line, end-suction and split-case designs (flows up to 20,000 m³/h); HPN is the polyurethane-lined chemical standard pump to EN ISO 2858; ELEVARO, APNO, DOMO and SENTINO are submersible agitator, drainage, portable and residual-water pumps.
